Dec. 5-9

Hello Kindergarten families,

It has been such a busy week that I have very few photos to share!

Our letter of the week was Cc. The letter C is a tricky one! It makes different sounds in different words, like cookie, circus, and chair.  We used our hands to make the letter C with our bodies. We could also make it by curving our whole body!  When it came time to draw things that begin with C, we had a wide array of options from candy cane to climbing wall!

Our kitchen centre has been transformed into a winter wonderland this week.  Students have been using their imaginations to mix up hot chocolate and bake yummy cookies!  It is so fun to watch the students completely immersed in play.

Our students have been enjoying presenting their Winter Celebrations sheets to the class! I love hearing about the traditions and favourite family memories.  We will continue sharing next week as forms come back.

We are getting outside for fresh air to end the day today. Thank goodness the weather warmed up this week!  Thank you for labeling snowpants, gloves, hats, etc. so we can return them to the proper owner.  Please help your child practice putting on snow gear independently to make it easier for us to get outside!

*Reminder: There will be no book exchange at the Library until after the break. Please return all borrowed books so our librarian can get ready for the new year!
