Oct. 17-21

Hello Kindergarten families,

We have been working hard and learning a lot in K!

Our letter of the week was S, so we spent much of our week hissing like ssssssnakes! See if your child can find some things around your house that start with S!

We went on our first community walk this week. We went up to the community gardens and talked about signs of fall. Thank you to our volunteers for braving the cold!  Community walks are a monthly event that takes place rain or shine. If you would like to join us on a walk at some point this year, please contact the office to begin the volunteer clearance process.  We would love to have you!

Next week we will have a very special guest in Kindergarten! Sergeant Chris Wig (Luna's dad) will be coming to see us on Thursday morning to talk about Halloween safety. We will also have the opportunity to go outside and see his police car!

Halloween is coming up quickly!  Please do not send candy for your child to hand out at school. I will have a few special treats for my friends that are allergy-safe, so we will not need any additional snacks.  Students are encouraged to wear a costume on Oct. 31 if they like! We will have a chance to parade around the other classes and show off our looks!

Finally, here is the weekly photo roundup of my friends playing at Centres! Can you spot your child hard at work?

*Wednesdays are library days
