Happy Holidays, Kindergarten Families!

It has been a fun and festive week at Ramsay School. See if you can spot the activities we did on Hat Day, Sweater Day, or PJ Day!

This week we reviewed all of the letter sounds we have learned so far. We also spent some time learning more about lowercase letters and how to recognize them!

In Math, we showed off our patterning skills with a mitten colouring exercise. Students were asked to colour at least two patterns, but some just kept going and going!

In Gym the Gaga Ball pit was set up for one more week.  It was a welcome way to get us moving when it was too cold for any outdoor play.

We made snowmen by dipping Q-tips in paint! Such a fun way to work on our fine motor skills and get a little messy.

Finally, the students made Centres their own this week.  Holiday cards and colouring continued to be a hit, but some students also cut out ornaments complete with string for the tree.  Our kitchen centre was used to set up a carpet picnic.  The afternoon class decided to make their own Christmas tree complete with ornaments! I love seeing imaginations at work!

Have a wonderful, restful break and we will see you back on January 9th.
